Brittany Franklin, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor, (LPCC-S), serves as the organization’s Group Counseling Services Specialist, where she promotes, organizes, and facilitates a variety of group counseling programs. In this capacity, she collaborates with fellow clinicians to identify clients who may benefit from group counseling, enrolls participants into psychoeducational and process-oriented group sessions, and ensures the overall smooth operation of these programs. By creating safe, supportive environments for clients to explore personal growth and healing, Brittany’s leadership in this role reflects her commitment to inclusive, empathetic care.
Alongside her specialist role, Brittany is a seasoned LPCC-S. She brings over a decade of expertise in substance use counseling and has expanded her practice to work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her key areas of focus include multicultural competence, parenting, working with oppressed populations, and honoring the importance of validating clients’ experiences and feelings.
Brittany earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Marshall University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Her passion for continuing education has shaped her perspective on mental health and substance use, recognizing that “a client can have mental health struggles without addiction, but cannot have addiction without mental health struggles.”
At the heart of Brittany’s clinical approach is the co-creation of authentic, honest, and safe spaces for clients to navigate their healing journeys. Guided by empathy, a non-judgmental stance, and an unwavering respect for each person’s unique identity and beliefs, she empowers individuals to pursue growth with confidence. Through her roles as Group Counseling Services Specialist and clinical supervisor, Brittany remains dedicated to fostering resilience, connection, and equitable care for all.
“The delivery of mental health and wellness services should be based on the needs of clients and the community.”
