Maggie Rosner, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Provisional Registered Art Therapist (ATR-P), serves as the organization’s Internship Alumni Council Representative (IACR), where she is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections among internship alumni and strengthening their engagement with the organization. Through networking opportunities, professional development initiatives, and alumni events, she ensures that former interns remain connected to the mission and values of the organization, cultivating a thriving community of mental health and wellness professionals who support one another and contribute to the advancement of the field.
As IACR, Maggie works closely with leadership to enhance alumni engagement, gathering feedback to refine programming and strengthen professional collaboration. She facilitates connections between alumni for mentorship and resource sharing, manages communication channels such as newsletters and social media, and organizes events that encourage continued involvement. She also assists in recruiting future interns, leveraging alumni experiences to showcase the benefits of the internship program. Her efforts create an inclusive and supportive network where past, present, and future interns can exchange knowledge, grow professionally, and remain actively engaged with the organization.
In addition to her role as IACR, Maggie is an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Provisional Registered Art Therapist (ATR-P), working with children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in depression, anxiety, coping skills, athletics and sports performance, and overall health and wellness. Her relational, person-centered approach to counseling is rooted in authenticity, mutual respect, and collaboration, allowing her clients to explore their experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
Maggie earned both her bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy with a minor in Psychology and her master’s degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline College, where she was also a student-athlete on the women’s soccer team. Her diverse experience includes working in school-based counseling settings, assisting with art-based therapeutic programs, and volunteering on service learning trips—most notably, participating in the Red Can Graffiti Jam in South Dakota, where she engaged in mural painting and youth art activities with the Cheyenne River Lakota Nation to promote empowerment and identity development.
Maggie’s strengths—kindness, compassion, empathy, curiosity, creativity, optimism, and humor—shine through in both her clinical work and alumni engagement efforts. She is passionate about building a supportive, engaged alumni network that fosters ongoing growth, collaboration, and professional development for all who have been part of the organization’s internship program. Through her leadership and dedication, she continues to create lasting connections that strengthen both individuals and the mental health community as a whole.
“The delivery of mental health and wellness services should be based on the needs of clients and the community.”
