Megan Schultz, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), serves as the organization’s Internship Alumni Council Representative (IACR), dedicated to fostering meaningful connections between former interns and the organization to strengthen professional collaboration, engagement, and development. In this role, she serves as the liaison between alumni and leadership, ensuring that past interns remain involved with the organization’s mission and continue to contribute to the advancement of the mental health and wellness field.
Megan facilitates alumni networking opportunities, professional development initiatives, and social gatherings, creating a thriving network of mental health professionals who support one another. She organizes events, workshops, and mentorship opportunities, while also managing communication efforts—such as newsletters and outreach campaigns—to keep alumni informed and engaged. By gathering feedback and insights from former interns, Megan plays a crucial role in enhancing internship programs, strengthening recruitment efforts, and fostering a dynamic, lifelong connection between alumni and the organization.
In addition to her leadership within the Internship Alumni Council, Megan is a dedicated LPC, working with children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in depression, anxiety, LGBTQ+ issues, grief, coping skills, and life-stage transitions, employing evidence-based, person-centered approaches that encourage healing and self-growth. By incorporating positive psychology, reality therapy, creative expression, humor, and body work, Megan ensures her clients receive individualized and holistic treatment.
Megan earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Malone University and completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Kent State University. Prior to joining Wellness Grove, she worked as a case manager and counseling intern at a community mental health agency, gaining valuable experience with diverse populations.
Widely recognized for her kindness, social awareness, attentiveness, and empathetic listening, Megan brings warmth and enthusiasm to both her clinical practice and her role as Internship Alumni Council Representative. Through her commitment to alumni engagement and professional networking, she continues to cultivate a supportive, connected community of mental health professionals dedicated to lifelong learning and collaboration.
