INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
WHY INTERN WITH US?
Wellness Grove is committed to the personal and professional development of counselor and social worker interns throughout their practicum and internship experiences. The purpose of the program is to prepare interns for practice as a licensed professional counselor or social worker by providing opportunities for competency development in the core areas of clinical assessment and conceptualization, diagnosis, and treatment. Interns will have opportunities to work with diverse clients across the lifespan presenting with a wide range of mental health and wellness issues through individual, couples, and family counseling in a private practice setting.
Wellness Grove’s internship program was developed by current and former counselor education faculty and experienced supervisors in the professions of counseling and social work. The program adheres to the current Laws and Rules for licensed counselors and social workers as defined by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Through individual and group supervision with supervisors, trainees will advance their areas of specialty practice in a supportive environment that emphasizes clinical excellence.

Quality Client Care
As a Wellness Grove intern, you select populations and areas of interest that reflect your interests and passions. If you don’t want to work with a particular age group, for example, that’s okay. Clients in that age group won’t be on your schedule. The goal is to create the best matches between clients and clinicians to promote quality care. Relatedly, you will be matched with a supervisor who shares your interests and passions so that you can grow and develop to the fullest.
Trainee Wellness
We want you to be the most happiest, healthiest, and most empowered version of yourself. To facilitate this journey, you will have full back-office support (meaning that our friendly team will handle all billing and scheduling), a community of clinicians who share a commitment for wellness and community building, multiple supervisors to help you advance your knowledge and skills, compensation (at the internship level), and an opportunity for continued employment upon graduation. We are investing in you throughout this process and want you to succeed!
