A licensed professional counselor (LPC) is a mental health provider who holds a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling and who has met all requirements set forth by the state licensure board to provide quality mental health care.
Cassi Harrison (pronouns she/her) is a licensed professional counselor who works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Her specialty interests include: trauma and PTSD, substance use issues, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, self-esteem, wellness, meaning and purpose in life, perinatal mental health, and family conflict. She utilizes various therapy techniques and theories that are rooted in humanistic therapy to include mindfulness, existential, person-centered, and Gestalt.
Cassi completed her master’s degree in clinical mental health and addictions counseling at Kent State University in August of 2024. Cassi earned her bachelor’s degree at her alma mater in psychology.
Prior to Wellness Grove, Cassi completed her practicum experience at Kent State University where she worked at the university clinic counseling college students.
Throughout this experience she worked with diverse individuals who were struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, sexual assault, self-esteem, and relational conflicts.
Cassi is passionate about providing a safe space for her clients to share, process, and grow from their stories. She is a strong advocate for (and with) her clients, and maintains a strong focus on promoting resiliency to navigate life’s struggles. Cassi’s approach to counseling is unique based on each client’s unique thoughts, feelings, experiences, and values. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is like being on the same team.
