A licensed professional counselor (LPC) is a mental health provider who holds a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling and who has met all requirements set forth by the state licensure board to provide quality mental health care.
Estrellaasia Ciptak (pronouns: she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with children, adolescents, young adults, veterans, and women in the perinatal period. Her special interests include: trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, divorce issues in children, postpartum mental health, and veteran mental health issues. She utilizes a client-centered approach with various therapy techniques that are rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT).
She has earned her master’s degree at Walsh University in clinical mental health counseling. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Kent State University in psychology. She continues to improve her practice by seeking learning opportunities in her daily life.
Prior to Wellness Grove, Estrellaasia worked in the medical field as a medical assistant and as an emergency medical technician (EMT) for multiple years. During these experiences she has had the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages and medical conditions. Beyond her clinical work, Estrellaasia also served in the United States Marine Corps and has experience working with veterans.
Estrellaasia encourages client collaboration and emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship. Her goal is to help clients recognize their strengths and enhance their self-confidence. She hopes to provide a safe, welcoming, and judgement free space.
