Judy Sallerson (pronouns: she/her) is an experienced licensed professional counselor who works with adults. Her specialty interests include: military issues, women and gender issues, and integrating a trauma focus into counseling practice. She utilizes treatment approaches that are evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each client.
Judy completed her advanced education at Kent State University, earning a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. She took specialized coursework in trauma and addictions counseling, and has continued education in these areas.
Prior to private practice, Judy worked with diverse clients in school and community mental health settings. She has developed a specialized group to work with women with substance use concerns and those who have experienced involvement with Children Services. During her 22-year military career, Judy had the opportunity to support her country as a proud Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran. She has also served as the unit victim advocate, sexual response coordinator, and casualty notification officer.
