KATALIN BUEHRLE, LSW

Kati Buehrle (she/her) is a licensed social worker who works with adults. Her specialty interests include: gender issues, chronic health issues, ADHD and executive functioning issues, autism, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma. She utilizes evidenced-based treatment approaches and works with each client to identify which treatment will fit their unique needs.

Kati completed her advanced education at The University of Akron, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in social work and master’s degree in social work.

Prior to private practice, Kati worked in community mental health. In this setting, the majority of her work focused on providing treatment to LGBTQ+ folks and those living with HIV. She has experience working as a provider on interdisciplinary care teams and facilitating treatment groups, such as a dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills group.

Kati’s approach to counseling is collaborative, client-centered, and strengths-based. She uses several treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), DBT, solution-focused therapy, and schema therapy. She believes it’s important to meet clients where they are and allows her clients to set a pace for treatment that feels comfortable and safe for them. She is known for being genuine and compassionate with her clients and enjoys incorporating humor into the therapy space.
