A licensed professional counselor (LPC) is a mental health provider who holds a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling and who has met all requirements set forth by the state licensure board to provide quality mental health care.

Sarah Udell-Miller (pronouns she/her) is a licensed professional counselor who works with adolescents and adults. Her specialty interests include: girls’ and women’s issues, body image, anxiety disorders, grief and loss, spirituality, and career development. She utilizes treatment approaches that are evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each client.

Sarah completed her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Ashland Theological Seminary in December 2025. She attended Malone University for her undergraduate education, earning a bachelor’s degree in communication arts. She has completed specialized coursework in grief and loss, substance use, multicultural counseling, and spiritual themes in counseling. Sarah is a lifelong learner and values ongoing education as a vital part of providing informed, compassionate, and effective care to her clients.

Prior to Wellness Grove, Sarah worked in education. She taught soft skills and interview skills to children and adults for two years and now works in adult community education, where she provides student support through advocacy, group facilitation, resource connection, and one-on-one support. In 2023, Sarah completed a 9-month certification program for urban leadership through the Akron Leadership Foundation, which provided practical training in holistic and inclusive work within urban communities. Her time in adult education and with the Akron Leadership Foundation gave her a heart for Canton and the issues the community faces.

Sarah believes that each client is the expert in their own life and considers it an honor to be invited into their story. She is committed to meeting clients where they are, providing compassionate support and challenge as they navigate their journey toward wellness within the context of their unique experiences. Sarah’s approach is person-centered and collaborative. She is passionate about creating an environment where her clients feel seen, heard, and safe.

Her strengths include: curiosity, empathy, humor, and a persistent hope in others and their abilities to reach wellness.
