The Internship Alumni Representative Specialist supports current interns as they transition through their practicum and internship experience at Wellness Grove. This role provides administrative, social, and peer support to promote engagement, connection, and a positive training experience. The representative helps strengthen the overall success and continuity of the Wellness Grove Internship Program.
Isabella (Izzy) Armentrout (pronouns: she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who serves as Wellness Grove’s Internship Alumni Representative Specialist. She completed her advanced education at The Ohio State University earning a bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice studies and a minor in clinical psychology and individual differences. She earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at John Carroll University with a concentration in substance use disorders.
Izzy has experience providing counseling in a community-based outpatient settings where she worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, including individuals from low socioeconomic communities. Her clinical interests include anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, stress, self-esteem, and depression, with a particular interest in helping clients navigate periods of change and uncertainty.
Izzy is passionate about supporting emerging clinicians as they enter helping professions and navigate the early stages of their professional development at Wellness Grove. In her role as an Internship Alumni Representative Specialist, she is committed to create a welcoming, compassionate, and encouraging environment where interns feel supported, valued, and empowered to grow. As an alum of Wellness Grove’s internship program, she believes that empathy, collaboration, and genuine connection are essential to helping developing clinicians build confidence, recognize their unique strengths, and find their own path.
