DR. KIESHA BUTLER, MBA, SHRM-CP

Kiesha M. Butler, PhD, MBA, SHRM-CP, is the Director of Human Resources at Wellness Grove. In her role as Director of Human Resources, she is responsible for the planning, directing, and administering various human resource programs within the mental health and wellness practice. She is dedicated to ensuring that the human resource programs support the long-term goals of the practice while cultivating continuous professional growth of all staff.

With over 20 years of experience in all facets of human resources, Dr. Butler has a progressive career path building, developing, and managing human resource departments in government, non-profit and social service agencies. Her career began working in organizations where programs and services supporting behavioral health were a focus. She has executed a broad range of HR policies, programs, and practices, while additionally serving as the organization’s Affirmative Action Officer, Civil Rights Coordinator, Safety Officer, and Section 504 Coordinator.

She attended Columbia Southern University for her graduate education, earning a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in human resource management. Prior to her advanced education, she received her bachelor’s degree in industrial management with a concentration in human resources as well as her associate degree in business management technology, both from The University of Akron.

She also possesses certifications in Supervision and Management and in Management Information Systems. Additionally, she is a SHRM Certified Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-CP) obtaining this credential from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Dr. Butler is committed to holistic wellness and has received her Doctorate of Professional Esthetics. She is captivated about the holistic processes that the practice utilizes in engaging and developing the whole person. It’s the concept that the human being is multi-dimensional, helping them on different levels, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. With this holistic view, she utilizes the same concept with her approach in human resource management. In believing that the staff are the greatest organizational resource, she approaches all decisions with a holistic viewpoint and how it affects one’s overall wellbeing presently and in the future.

Additionally, she also believes in service and purpose to collaboratively work with others to achieve a meaningful mission and providing a sense of purpose in everything she does. Because of these beliefs, she can efficiently serve the practice in applying her knowledge and experience in the field of human resources and looks forward to the opportunity to contribute to the practice’s success by providing exceptional support and organizational improvements for its human resources functions, services, and programs. Dr. Butler is passionate about human resources and working with staff to institute effective yet innovative changes that will benefit the practice, its staff, and the populations we serve.
