The Trafficking and Cult Recovery Specialist promotes effective clinical care for clients who have experienced trauma, specifically through the lens of human trafficking and religious and spiritual cults. This role promotes the effective clinical care of clinicians through the areas of supervision, consultation, training, and networking necessary to this marginalized population. The specialist provides clinical insight into the unique needs and experienced stigma that will allow the clients to grow and heal through a healthy, supportive experience.
Natalie Cross-Ketler, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor (LPCC-S), and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (CCHT), serves as the organization’s Trafficking and Cult Recovery Specialist. She went on to earn her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Malone University. After completing her graduate program, she continued her education and received a diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute.
Natalie brings over a decade of expertise working with and supporting individuals who have experienced religious/spiritual abuse, human trafficking, and other forms of extreme abuse. Her key areas of focus include C-PTSD, working with dissociative systems, and helping survivors to feel heard, achieve autonomy, and find strength through their trauma.
Natalie is passionate about her work with this marginalized population and strives to educate other mental health professionals to feel confident and competent supporting survivors. She also believes that by breaking through the stigma associated with religious/spiritual abuse, human trafficking, and other forms of extreme abuse, survivors can find their voice and be truly heard.
