Sarah Bursley, LPC, CDCA

Sarah Bursley (pronouns: she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) who serves as Wellness Grove’s Internship Alumni Representative. She completed her advanced education at Kent State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in counseling careers and a minor in communication studies. She earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from her alma mater.

Sarah has clinical experience working with diverse populations across hospital, college, private practice, and community-based settings and has expanded her practice to work with adults, couples, and families. Her areas of clinical interest include substance use concerns, relationship and family dynamics, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, coping skill development, and life transitions. In addition to her clinical training in mental health counseling, she completed specialized coursework in addiction counseling and has experience facilitating groups, supporting families impacted by intimate partner violence, and assisting young adults managing adjustment-related concerns.

Sarah is passionate about supporting emerging clinicians as they navigate their internship experience at Wellness Grove. In her role as the Internship Alumni Representative, she provides administrative, social, and peer support to help interns feel connected, engaged, and supported throughout their training. As an alum of Wellness Grove’s internship program, she is committed to strengthening the continuity and overall success of the program by fostering a collaborative and encouraging learning environment.
