The Volunteer Specialist serves as the initial point of contact for individuals seeking free consultations for personal growth and wellness. By providing a warm and informative introduction to supports and services, this role helps potential clients understand area resources and the counseling process. The specialist supports community access to care through compassionate and responsive outreach.
Zara Paolucci (pronouns: she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who serves as one of the organization’s Volunteer Specialists. She completed her bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies at Kent State University, focusing on family life education. Zara further earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Malone University.
Zara has worked in the mental health field for nearly seven years prior to Wellness Grove, serving in several settings and roles including community behavioral health and school-based case management services. She has expanded her practice over the years, working with all ages, particularly specializing in children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Her areas of clinical interest include children and adolescent issues, women’s issues, parent-child relationships, family conflict, anxiety, trauma, grief, self-harm, life transitions, and intimate partner violence. Zara has additional training in child abuse, child development, and early childhood mental health. She recently became certified in psychological first aid which allows her to provide support and care to individuals who experience traumatic events.
Zara is passionate about working holistically with clients, their families, school personnel, and support staff to provide comprehensive lifestyle and mental health support. Her approach is collaborative and person-centered, believing there is great importance in educating clients and their families on useful community resources to enhance their overall well-being. Zara implements knowledge that is evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each individual, meeting them wherever they may be in the counseling process, and working with them to bridge any gaps or barriers in finding a clinician that is best suited to meet their individual therapeutic needs.
