Casey Wachhaus joined Wellness Grove as an undergraduate intern, bringing a deep interest in psychology and a commitment to creating positive, client-centered experiences in the field of mental health and wellness. Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology with minors in art and exercise science at the University of Mount Union, Casey is actively engaged in expanding her academic and professional development through hands-on exposure to integrative mental health programming.
As part of her internship, Casey participates in a wide range of non-clinical projects that support both internal operations and community engagement. Her experience includes but is not limited to attendance at clinical leadership team meetings, involvement in case conceptualization discussions, and interviewing clinicians to better understand therapeutic practices and professional pathways. She contributes to psychoeducational content development and supports research for intern-led wellness topics. In addition, Casey’s experience encompasses event preparation, strategic outreach efforts, and co-facilitation of community groups, all designed to strengthen access and engagement within the community. With previous experience in customer service and peer engagement, as well as involvement in Active Minds and the University’s Track and Field teams, Casey brings a collaborative spirit, a strong work ethic, and a passion for mental health advocacy to her role. Her internship at Wellness Grove is a meaningful step in her journey toward making a lasting impact in the lives of others.
“The delivery of mental health and wellness services should be based on the needs of clients and the community.”
