Paige Lucas (pronouns: she/her) is actively involved in leadership and athletics. As a youth softball coach, she focused on skill development, confidence-building, and teamwork while mentoring young athletes and collaborating with families and coaching staff. As an NCAA Division II STUNT athlete and member of the Walsh University Cheerleading Team, she has gained firsthand insight into the challenges student-athletes face and the importance of mental resilience, performance mindset, and overall well-being.
Through her academic and professional experiences, Paige has developed strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. As a daycare teacher at Little Learners Child Development Center, she works closely with children and families to create supportive and engaging environments. Her previous experience as an optometric technician and hostess strengthened her ability to build rapport, provide exceptional service, and adapt effectively in fast-paced settings while working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Following graduation, Paige plans to pursue a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling with the goal of becoming a sports counselor. She is passionate about helping athletes navigate mental health concerns, performance pressures, confidence issues, and personal growth. By combining her background in psychology, youth development, coaching, and athletics, Paige hopes to empower athletes to thrive both in competition and in life.
“The delivery of mental health and wellness services should be based on the needs of clients and the community.”
