Capri Barnhart, CBCS, CMAA joined Wellness Grove in July of 2026, as a Medical Billing Specialist, bringing specialized training and hands-on experience in medical billing, coding, claims processing, revenue cycle management, and healthcare administration. As a Certified Medical Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) and Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA), Capri brings a detail-driven and solutions-focused approach to supporting the financial operations that help sustain quality mental health care.

Capri’s professional background includes experience with full-cycle billing, Medicaid eligibility, claims submission, denial resolution, insurance verification, pre-authorizations, documentation review, and reimbursement processes. Her clinical internship with Cleveland Clinic provided hands-on exposure to Epic EHR, coding accuracy, and revenue cycle operations, while her prior claims and customer support experience strengthened her ability to navigate complex issues, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate across teams.

At Wellness Grove, Capri contributes to the complex relationship between the organization and insurance carriers by helping manage and process claims, reconcile accounts, analyze billing activity, and identify opportunities to strengthen financial workflows. The Medical Billing Specialist also serves as a liaison with insurance companies, supports claims and collections processes, and helps identify trends or gaps that may affect reimbursement and operational performance.

Capri’s technical foundation includes knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding, Medicare and Medicaid claims, denial resolution and appeals, compliance, HIPAA standards, and electronic health record systems. She also holds certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid, BLS, and Bloodborne Pathogens, further complementing her healthcare background.
