

A licensed professional counselor (LPC) is a mental health provider who holds a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling and who has met all requirements set forth by the state licensure board to provide quality mental health care.
A Provisional Registered Art Therapist (ATR-Provisional) is a mental health provider who holds a master’s degree in art therapy, has met qualifying graduate-level education and training outlined by the Art Therapy Credential Board (ATCB), and is practicing under an approved ATCB credentialed supervisor to provide quality therapy and healing using media and the creative process.
Davia Smith (pronouns: she/her) Is a licensed professional counselor who is excited to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her special interests include: auto immune disorders, anxiety, depression, and art therapy.
Davia completed her bachelor’s degree in art therapy and her master’s degree in counseling and art therapy, both through Ursuline College.
She completed her internship at an equine-assisted counseling facility where she provided clinical services to clients of all ages. During this time, she also was able to engage in clinical care with children in a school-based environment.
Davia approaches counseling from a humanistic holistic perspective. She uses a variety of techniques to encourage personal growth and psychological safety. She also engages in a multitude of art therapy interventions and methods to improve the rapport between herself and the individual or family and to address behavioral health needs in an effective way.
Her strengths include: artistic expression, empathy, active listening, and commitment to growth.
