

A licensed professional counselor (LPC) is a mental health provider who holds a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling and who has met all requirements set forth by the state licensure board to provide quality mental health care.
The “S” (LPCC-“S”) denotes advanced experience and knowledge in clinical supervision as required by the state licensure board that allows for supervision of LPCs and counselors-in-training.
The second “C” (LPC“C”) denotes advanced clinical experience and knowledge as required by the state licensure board that allows for independent practice (meaning, without the need for supervision).
Elisheva “Eli” Schwersenski (pronouns: she/her) is an experienced licensed professional clinical counselor who works with adolescents, young adults, and adults. Her clinical interests include: adolescent mental health, transitional age young adults (18-25 years old), perinatal mental health, and life transitions. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is key to effective therapy and she utilizes a person-centered approach to the counseling session.
Eli completed her undergraduate and graduate degree at John Carroll University, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling.
Prior to going into private practice, Eli worked in substance use treatment centers.
Since this initial experience, she has been employed in private practice and worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults in this capacity.
Eli believes that the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship. She utilizes a person-centered approach and strives to create a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming place for clients. Her hope is that clients feel comfortable bringing their concerns, anxiety, and anything else that is on their mind into therapy and know that it is a safe place for them to share.
