A licensed professional counselor (LPC) is a mental health provider who holds a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling and who has met all requirements set forth by the state licensure board to provide quality mental health care.
Endia (pronouns: she/her) is a licensed professional counselor who works with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Her specialty interests include: women’s issues, human sexuality, sexual trauma, and relationship issues. She utilizes evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral treatment (CBT) and family therapy. Endia is passionate about integrating muliticultural counseling competencies into her work and creating counseling experiences that are uniquely tailored to each client.
Endia completed her master’s at Walden University for clinical mental health counseling, specializing in marriage, couple, and family counseling. She completed her undergraduate education at The University of Akron, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She has completed specialized coursework in human sexuality during the counseling program. She has a passion of lifetime learning.
Prior to counselor training, Endia worked with diverse clients in residential, hospital systems, and community settings. Throughout her education, these experiences have fueled her zest for helping others. Encounters with diverse populations has made her a gentle listener and an empathy-driven person who supports the holistic wellness of others.
Endia’s approach to counseling is client-centered and integrative because she believes that the client’s reflective insight is an extraordinarily unique asset to their well-being. She believes that the collaborative counseling connection rooted in safety, sincerity, and mutual respect will help clients achieve their goals. She is known for using humor and psychoeducation in sessions.
