ANXIETY

Anxiety: An experienced emotion characterized by feelings of worry, nervousness, tension, and/or unease.

Anxiety is a natural response to stress.

The benefits of anxiety include helping with motivation and boosting performance levels, protecting us from dangerous situations, and serving as a pivot point for changing our perspective to be more empathic toward others. Anxiety is problematic when it becomes chronic, irrational, and significantly disrupts your ability to function at home, school, and/or work, as well as in relationships with others.
