Our groups offer a supportive space for caregivers to learn how to work through their experiences. Caregiving for someone who is in need comes with many different emotions and difficulties. We will explore ways to improve our capacity as caregivers, to include improving self-care and creating more positive spaces for self and others. Our free-flowing groups will have topics that will center around providing education and support to connect individuals and provide a safe space to know we’re not alone on this journey.
In this art therapy group, we will learn to be more self-compassionate and better caregivers to ourselves
Art Therapy for Foster and Adoptive Caregivers
This group offers a safe place for foster and adoptive caregivers to manage stress, develop self-compassion, and be with people who understand the unique challenges that are faced while caring for kids from hard places. We will explore the impact caregiving has on us, spend time discovering how art can provide a creative space to heal, and build community with each other. As caregivers, we face challenges such as burnout, isolation, and feeling like we are “not enough” to meet the needs of our kiddos. Through art therapy, we will learn to be more self-compassionate and a better caregiver for ourselves.
