HASIM MUHAMMAD, LPC

Hasim Muhammad (pronouns: he/him) is a licensed professional counselor who works with emerging adults and adults. His specialty interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, men’s life issues, stress management, and mood disorders. He utilizes treatment approaches that are evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each client.

Hasim completed his advanced education at Ohio Dominican University, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in sociology. He then earned his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Youngstown State University.

Prior to Wellness Grove, Hasim interned and then worked professionally in a private practice setting.

During that time, he has been able to work with clients of all ages who have been experiencing a variety of presenting issues including ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and borderline personality disorder.

Hasim’s approach to counseling is to foster a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can openly share their thoughts and feelings. By building a trusting relationship, Hasim encourages vulnerability while emphasizing the importance of personal accountability. This approach helps explore challenges and set achievable goals, empowering clients to take ownership of their journeys.

His strengths include: rapport building, providing caring and candid honesty, stimulating critical thinking, demonstrating keen social awareness and intelligence, and the ability to help clients look past their current circumstances.
