A licensed professional counselor (LPC) is a mental health provider who holds a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling and who has met all requirements set forth by the state licensure board to provide quality mental health care.

Maggie Rosner (pronouns: she/her) is an experienced licensed professional counselor who works with children, adolescents, and adults. Her specialty interests include: depression, anxiety, coping skills, athletics and sports performance, and health and wellness. She utilizes treatment approaches that are uniquely tailored to each client.

Maggie completed her bachelor’s degree in art therapy with a minor in psychology at Ursuline College, where she played women’s soccer. She also completed her master’s degree in counseling and art therapy at Ursuline College.

Prior to joining Wellness Grove, Maggie has worked in a variety of settings, ranging from assisting an art activities director at a nursing home to working as an intern in a school-based counseling department of a nonprofit organization. While working in the school-based counseling department Maggie provided therapy to children who experienced issues related to trauma, adjustment, ADHD, anxiety, and depression.

Beyond her clinical work, Maggie strives to create a safe, caring, judgment-free environment for clients. She is passionate about serving others and has participated in service learning trips such as the Red Can Graffiti Jam in South Dakota where she did volunteer work with the Cheyenne River Lakota Nation. On the reservation she engaged in mural painting and youth art activities for the purposes of empowerment and identity development.

Maggie’s approach to counseling is relational and person-centered because she believes authenticity and mutual respect promotes growth. She uses a collaborative approach so that she and her clients can explore, discuss, challenge thoughts and feelings, and create goals.

Her strengths include: kindness, compassion, empathy, a love of learning, curiosity, creativity, optimism, and humor.
