NOURA AL-KHAFIF, LPC

Noura (pronouns: she/her) is a licensed professional counselor who works with adolescents and adults. Her specialty interests include: trauma, family therapy, and multicultural counseling. She utilizes a flexible, culturally responsive approach based on evidence-based practices and adapts her work to each client’s unique values and lived experience. Noura also offers therapy in both English and Arabic.

Noura earned her master’s student at Kent State University, completing a degree in clinical mental health counseling. She completed her advanced education at The Ohio State University, earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in child abuse and neglect.

Prior to private practice, Noura provided counseling services in both university and outpatient settings.

She has worked with individuals from a range of cultural, generational, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Her development as a clinician is supported by ongoing training in trauma-informed care, strength-based approaches, and culturally attuned clinical practice.

Noura’s approach to counseling is rooted in person-centered care, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy, with additional insight drawn from psychodynamic theory. She also incorporates trauma-informed care, narrative therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy to support emotional and relational growth. She presents to session with genuine curiosity, a grounded presence, and a calming demeanor to create a space where clients feel supported, respected, and understood.

Her strengths include: authenticity, intuitive understanding, empathy, warmth, and the ability to create space for people to feel safe, valued, and understood.
