She has had the opportunity to provide educational support to college students, extend informational resources to communities seeking education, provide county-wide harm reduction tools and resources, advocate for marginalized and disadvantaged communities, and participate in policy and harm reduction committees. Currently, Shanae serves as an outreach specialist for Summit County Public Health and stands as the representative for Summit County’s Project DAWN (Deaths Avoided with Naloxone), a program created by the Ohio Department of Health in 2019 to prevent opioid overdose through education and support.
Shanae’s approach to counseling is support-focused because she believes that humans have the ability to flourish in unimaginable ways when they have an entire village behind them. She is known for her humor, dedication, and empathic nature.
Her strengths include: kindness, love of learning, adaptability, and the ability to see the uniqueness in every individual she connects with.
