MEGAN SCHULTZ, LPC

Megan Schultz (pronouns: she/her) is a licensed professional counselor that works with children, adolescents, and adults. Her specialty interests include depression, anxiety, coping skills, LGBTQ+ issues, grief, and life stage transitional issues. She utilizes positive psychology, a non-judgmental stance, and evidenced-based practices to create individualized treatment plans for each client.

Megan completed her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Malone University. She completed her undergraduate studies at Kent State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Megan continues to improve her practice by seeking learning opportunities in her daily life.

Prior to Wellness Grove, Megan worked for over a year as a case manager and spent six months as a counseling intern at a community mental health agency. This allowed for her to gain insight and experience with many different populations and backgrounds.

Megan believes that the foundation of counseling is the therapeutic relationship, and thereby strives to ensure all clients feel safe and welcome with her. She utilizes person-centered, reality therapy to assist clients with developing skills to combat anything that may arise in their daily lives. She also utilizes creative expression, humor, and body work to encourage healing and personal growth.

Her strengths include: kindness, social awareness, attentiveness and being an empathetic listener.
