A licensed professional counselor (LPC) is a mental health provider who holds a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling and who has met all requirements set forth by the state licensure board to provide quality mental health care.
Danté Seruch (pronouns: he/him) is an experienced licensed professional counselor who works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. His specialty interests include: boy’s and men’s issues, stress and anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and life adjustment issues. He utilizes treatment approaches that are evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each client.
Danté completed his advanced education at The University of Mount Union, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and Capella University earning a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. He has always had a passion for helping others through the advancement of his own knowledge and ensuring that quality care is given to each client.
Prior to private practice, Danté completed a one and a half years long internship where he worked as a counselor for a university. He worked with both undergraduate and graduate students for a multitude of presenting problems.
Danté approaches counseling from the client–centered perspective because he believes that clients have the ability to overcome obstacles through their own strengths. He also employs cognitive behavioral therapy and solution–focused brief therapy. Danté places a focus on having a positive and non–judgmental environment with his clients. He likes to use humor, psychoeducation, homework, dialogue, and metaphors/analogies in his practice.
