A licensed professional counselor (LPC) is a mental health provider who holds a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling and who has met all requirements set forth by the state licensure board to provide quality mental health care.
Robert Krabill (pronouns: he/him) is a licensed professional counselor who works with children, adolescents, adults with developmental disabilities, visually impaired adults, and hearing-impaired children. His special interests include: LGBTQ+ issues, children’s developmental issues, adolescent issues, individuals with developmental disabilities, boys’ and men’s issues, multicultural counseling, and integrating creativity and positive psychology into counseling practice. He utilizes treatment approaches that are evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each client.
Robert received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of Kent Stark. He completed his master’s degree in mental health counseling from Walsh University, in addition to a certification in addictions counseling. He has a strong love of lifetime learning and aspires to earn his doctorate degree in the future.
Prior to working on his master’s degree, Robert worked for his family’s business providing transportation to adults with developmental disabilities, adolescents with behavioral issues, a 3–6-year-old hearing impaired female, and provided support services to a visually impaired adult with developmental disabilities. He has held this business close to his heart and is fulfilling his calling to inspire and become a leader in his new career.
Robert has been a life-long compassionate and empathetic listener who has worked with individuals from many cultural and ethnic backgrounds. As part of his commitment to addressing multicultural needs is his passion for helping unhoused individuals. Robert’s approach to counseling is person-centered and socially driven. He is known for using humor, and aspires to use psychoeducation, music, and creative arts in sessions.
His strengths include: kindness, love for education, empathy, nonjudgment of others, and social intelligence.
